Shaft duct are used for particular applications in mining and tunnelling shafts. The vertical ventilation system requires a stable suspension system (for instant: steel ropes with a high tensile strength and for heavy loads.

In the normal configuration two  8 mm zinked steel ropes are connected to the shaft duct on opposite sides. The fixation is provided by steel clamps in S-hooks which are fixed to the shaft ducts.  At the end of the shaft duct a zinked consistant steel lock is fixed to each of the ropes. On the other end of the shaft duct a special rope clamp  is fixed.

For the connection of serveral shaft ducts, couplings are used. The loads are carried by the ropes and steel clamps. In the same time they stabilize the shaft ducts which are connected to the walls by hooks and eyelets. By this system a reliable ventilation of 1000 meters and more can be achieved
